In the afternoon of June 25, Permanent Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem recieved Mr. Christian Haas, Director of KFW in Vietnam on his courtesy farewell visit to HCMC.
At the reception, Mr. Liem congratulated Mr. Christain Haas’s successful term in the city, saying the city always respects the support of German Government for Metro line projects, especially the Railway No 2 in the city. He added the city is urging related units to make reports and submit its proposal to the Government for adjusting and bidding Phase B of this project.
Mr. Liem expressed his hope that Mr. Christain Haas, at any post, will support HCMC as well as promote cooperation between Governments of both countries in the future. He hopes that the successor of Mr. Christain Haas will continue supporting HCMC to complete the Railway No 2 project as well as to promote other projects.
For his part, Mr. Christia Haas thanked HCMC’s leaders for creating favorable for KFW in the past time, saying that the city should focus on speeding up the schedule of the Railway No 2 project. He afffirmed that the active cooperation and exchange between both sides will make this project a success and create premises for cooperation in the future.
