In October 2015, HCMC People’s Committee has focused on propagandizing, preparing and doing a good job on successfully organizing the 10th Congress of HCMC Party Committee in the term of 2015-2020; the sum up meeting of 5 years of implementation of the National Target Program of new rural development in the period of 2010-2015; deploying orientations and missions in 2015-2020, etc.
Chairman and Deputy Chairmen have chaired 149 meetings, received and worked with delegations from the Central Government on important subjects including: listening to reports on situation of State budget implementation in 2015 and estimates of 2016; plan of preservation of Ba Son historical site; construction of 2 bridges connecting Binh Quoi-Thanh Da urban area; solutions for anti-flooding; fund balance for resettlement program; progress of implementation of Resolution of HCMC People’s Council on clean water supply; operation situation of hi-tech dairy cow farm (Israel DDEF); Can Gio sea encroachment resort; construction of agricultural models serving eco-tourism; orientations, targets and scientific and technology missions in 2016-2020; evaluation meeting on historical-cultural relics, famous landscapes and beauty spots; meeting of the Steering Committee on global economic integration on FTAs, TPP, etc.
In addition, Chairman and Deputy Chairmen have attended meetings with leaders of United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to discuss ideas on establishment of multi-dimensional poverty Center in HCMC; meeting with delegations of World Bank on green transport project, online conference on implementation of peak season of food safety from now to Lunar New Year 2016, et.
