On April 12, Mr. Le Thanh Hai-Secretary of HCMC Party Committee-welcomed Mr. Hiroshige Seko – Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan.
Mr. Le Thanh Hai highly appreciated the visit of Mr. Hiroshige Seko. On behalf of leaders of HCMC, Mr. Hai thanked Japan for supporting ODA for Vietnam, especially for HCMC to develop infrastructure. Mr. Hai expressed his delight at good development of Vietnam-Japan relationship in the past years.
For his part, Mr. Hiroshige Seko highly appreciated projects in HCM using ODA from Japan, these projects are very effective and a clear proof for successful co-operation between both sides. Mr. Hiroshige Seko said that this visit to Vietnam aims to promote construction of Vietnam-Japan university, strengthening co-operation projects with HCMC.
According to Hiroshige Seko, HCMC is not only an effective destination for Japanese investors but a big consumption market for Japanese products. So HCMC needs to speed up co-operation with Japanese partners to deepen the bilateral relations.
