On November 3, Deputy Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu received Mrs. Carolyn Hessler Radelet, Director of US Peace Corps – a voluntary program of US government.
At the reception, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu highly valued the well-developed Vietnam-US cooperation relation in recent years. She thanked US Peace Corps for sending its volunteers to Vietnam to teach English, it is very crucial for Vietnam in the context of global integration. She expressed her hope US Peace Corps would share learning experiences of the US as well as its vivid teaching methods to help Vietnamese students enhance knowledge of foreign language and of culture.
For HCMC, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu committed to actively cooperate with US Peace Corps to achieve the highest efficiency.
