On February 13, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen worked with HCMC Finance & Investment State-owned Company (HFIC) on implementation of tasks in 2017.
At the meeting, General Director of HFIC Pham Phu Quoc said HFIC in 2017 will work out specific financial plan including: pre-tax revenue of VND 1, 349 billon, contributing VND 2, 763 billion to the State’s budget. Amongst, HFIC will play the role of State financial institution representing, managing efficiency of implementation of State capital at HFIC, mobilizing resources to develop infrastructure and serve socio-economic development of HCMC.
In 2017, HFIC focuses on key tasks: implementing program of improving growth quality and competitiveness of the city’s economy; improving business and investment environment; encouraging business startup, carrying out 7 breakthrough programs; mobilizing investment resources, developing infrastructure; coordinating with related departments and agencies to manage public debts of local authorities as well as issuing bonds.
In his conclusion, Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen agreed with the 2017 plan of HFIC and expressed his hope that HFIC will actively participate in to the 7 breakthrough programs to successfully implement Resolution of the 10th HCMC Party Congress. He added some investment items like anti-flooding, traffic safety, health, education, etc. are very important, but the city’s budget is still limited. Therefore, HFIC needs to actively follow guidance and orientation of HCMC Party and People’s Committees to mobilize capital resources for technical infrastructure projects.
