In the morning of March 23, Deputy Standing Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem recieved a delegation of Kuwait led by Assistant Foreign Minister Ali Suleiman AL-Saeed
At the reception, Mr. Liem emphasized that Vietnam in general and HCMC in particular always considers Kuwait as one of the most imporant partners in the Gulf. The proof is that Kuwait is the Gulf’s first country which Vietnam open its embassy. Besides, both countries’ friendship and cooperation relations have been expanded to vaiours fileds to meet demands and aspriations of both sides, as well as to uphold strengths an potential of each country.
Mr. Liem expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation with Kuwait in fields of development assistance, labor, education-training, etc. to raise the two-way trade to US$ 2 billion by 2020 set by both sides.
For his part, Mr. Ali Suleiman Al-Saeed highly appreciated HCMC’s potential. He expressed his hope that HCMC’s leaders and business delegation would pay a visit to Kuwait to study investment and cooperation opportunities as well as to further tighten both side’s close relations.
