On April 18, Permanent Deputy Chairman of HCMC People‘s Committee Le Thanh Liem received Chief Representative of JETRO Takimoto Koji.
At the reception, Mr. Le Thanh Liem highly valued JETRO’s role in organizing trade promotion activities between HCMC and Japan. There are now 1,500 Japanese businesses operating in HCMC, 80% of them investing in the city through JETRO.
Mr. Liem expressed his hope that more and more Japanese enterprises will come to HCMC, saying JETRO will create favorable conditions for Japanese companies to seek investment opportunities in HCMC to further promote good cooperation relation between HCMC and Japan.
For his part, Mr. Takimoto Koji thanked HCMC’s leaders for supporting JETRO in term of issuing labor licenses. He affirmed that in his term in HCMC, he will promote Japanese investment in Vietnam in general and in HCMC in particular.
