On February 12, in the framework of the program “Clean House to welcome Tet holiday”, Consulate Of South Africa in HCMC, Vien Dong Assurance Corporation (VASS) and volunteer students of universities, colleges paid a visit and give Tet gifts to patients of Children’s Hospital 2.
Totally 200 lucky money envelops were given worth VND 40 million. The program was accompanied with performance from balloon clowns to give balloons to little patients at hospital beds to encourage them.
The program wrapped up a series of charity programs of “Tet comes to every family” on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2015 co-organized by the Consulate of South Africa and VASS after being launched for a month. The program aimed to support children, elders and families with difficult situation across the country to welcome the Tet holidays.
Honorary Consul of the Republic of South Africa in HCMC Do Thi Kim Lien and leaders of VASS paid a visit and donated 800 sweaters to poor students in Hua Bum and Nam Ban Communes, Nam Nhun District, Lai Chau province; presenting 100 gift packages to blind children and to poor members of the association for the blind in Thua Thien Hue and Ninh Binh provinces.
