The festival included the exhibition entitled “HCMC diplomatic activities-integration and development”. The exhibition displayed traditional costumes from many different regions, gastronomy stalls introducing culture and food made by foreigners, Vietnamese cooking contests, etc. The focal point of the exhibition comes from cultural houses of 17 units from 16 countries which are decorated with cultural characteristics an identities, introducing traditional products to visitors. In addition, the festival included many other activities such as art performance, cultural exchange which attracted attention of people in HCMC and foreign visitors.

Addressing at the closing ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee said the festival has introduced cultural characteristics of many countries in the world. Local visitors and international friends have experienced many cultural products of many countries, strengthening mutual understanding, building trust and friendship. The festival has become a familiar playground, a place where international friends and local people can meet and exchange. It also manifests the attention of leaders of HCMC for foreigners. Images and message of a friendly, dynamic city, a common home of friendship were expressed at the festival lively and authentically.

At the closing ceremony, 20 groups were awarded certificates of merits by HCMC People’s Committee for their contributions to the grand success of the festival.
