After nearly a month with various activities, the festival attracted more than 100, 000 visitors and become an annual event which is much expected. The festival was organized in suburbs, schools, residential areas with many competitions and Ao Dai fashion shows.

 Themed “HCMC charming Ao Dai”, the succesfully held festival has brought local citizens many interesting and diverse activities including design, exhibition, talk show with over 1, 200 Ao Dai designs from 23 famous designers nationwide. Especially, the Ao Dai show has attracted participation of 3,000 people at different ages.

In his closing speech, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee said: “Over 5 years, the Ao Dai festival has become an annually special cultural-tourism event of the city. The event has spread out to nationwide and become a campaign to honor and promote the traditional beauty of Vietnam to tourists”.
