According to Mr. Thang, cheaper not smaller affordable housing must apply new technologies, reducing price of construction materials to reduce the selling price. He added that living in a stuffy and small apartment will reduce living quality. He suggested establishing a linking chain of supplies of construction materials to build apartments with reasonable price.

With such a linking chain, enterprises including cement and steel manufacturers, etc. will offer better material prices to social and affordable housing projects. If all enterprises join hands in reducing construction materials, it will be easier to reduce selling price of social housing.
