On April 17, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan received Mr. Quach Thanh Con, member of The State Council, Chinese Minister of Public Security on his working trip to Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Hoang Quan welcomed Mr. Quach Thanh Con to HCMC at the time many big holidays will be hosted such as 40 years of liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification, 125th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, 70th anniversary of national day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Mr. Quan affirmed that after 65 years since Vietnam and China established diplomat ties, special co-operation relationship between the Parties, Governments and people of both countries,regardless of ups and downs, is strongly developed. The recent visit to China of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has deepened the relationship between both countries. Especially, in recent years, HCMC has promoted co-operation relations with many localities of China.
Mr. Quan said that China has 135 investment projects in HCMC, the specific co-operation in fields of tourism and education has enriched friendship relation, strengthening mutual understanding between both sides’ people.
Mr. Quach Thanh Con said that his visit to Vietnam aims to concretize contents of co-operation agreed by high profile leaders of both Parties, peoples in the recent visit to China of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, especially in fields of national defense and security. Mr. Quach Thanh Con affirmed that Vietnam and China are good friends and good neighbors.
Mr. Con also expressed his impression at the fast development of HCMC in recent years and believed that with leadership of the Party, Government and of HCMC Party Committee, People’s Committee, HCMC will surely gain more significant achievements in the coming time.
