Mr. Quan highly valued the role of Mr. Lee Myung Bak with great contributions to the promotion of friendship and co-operation relation between Vietnam and Korea in general and between HCMC with localities of Korea in particular. Korea is now the largest foreign investor in Vietnam with over 4,600 projects worth US$ 32 billion, two way trade between both countries reached US$ 30 billion, total investment capital of Korea stated at US$ 4 billion in HCMC.

Mr. Lee Myung Bak expressed his delight at the socio-economic development of Vietnam in the past time, affirming that Korea wants to strengthen a comprehensive co-operation relation with Vietnam in many fields. He said Korean investors are interested in studying investment and co-operation environment of Vietnam, he expressed his hope that HCMC will continue creating favorable conditions for Korean investors to study investment and co-operation environment in HCMC.
