On February 10, a delegation of HCMC led by Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan paid a visit and sent Tet wishes to dignitaries of Committee for solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics and The General Confederation of the Evangelical Churches of Vietnam (South Vietnam).

Visiting Committee for Solidarity of Vietnam Catholics, Mr. Le Hoang Quan highly appreciated sentiments, responsibilities and special attention of priests, monks, and parishioners in the past years. Together with authorities of HCMC at all levels, the committee have made efforts in successfully carrying out many important development targets of HCMC and of the whole country. Together with levels of people of HCMC, the Catholics always participate in all aspects of social lives, especially patriotism emulation movement, campaign of “all people unite into building cultural life in residential areas”, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, charity and social activities, etc. Mr. Le Hoang Quan expressed his hope that in 2015, given many important celebrations of the country and HCMC, the Catholics will continue to make practical and effective contributions to construction and development of a civilized, modern, sentimental city ; contributing to consolidation of great national unity bloc.

At the General Confederation of the Evangelical Churches of Vietnam, Pastor Phan Vinh Cu, head of the General Confederation, expressed his delight and thanks to leaders of HCMC for attention. Pastor Phan Vinh Cu expressed his belief and aspirations in leadership of the Party and authority of HCMC in 2015. This leadership will bring more significant results to HCMC. Pastor Phan Vinh Cu sent his sincere thanks to levels of authorities of HCMC for creating favorable conditions for activities of the General Confederation, especially in expansion, development of its branches in HCMC.
