At the meeting, Mr. Seigo Tanaka emphasized importance of Vietnam-Japan relationship through co-operation programs and high-profile visit exchanges between leaders of both countries. He added enterprises of Osaka city are showing their interest in HCMC in key fields including education, economy, and infrastructure. Mentioning on infrastructure, Mr. Seigo Tanaka said that project of construction of underground trade center at Metro station at Ben Thanh market will create a focal point of modern underground urban space in HCMC, creating a harmony between shopping space and pedestrian area at Metro Ben Thanh station.

Mr. Seigo Tanaka express his hope that authority of HCMC will continue to support and create favorable conditions for enterprises of Osaka city to exchange, seek and expand coo-operation fields in HCMC.

Mr. Le Hoang Quan highly appreciated enthusiastic co-operation of Osaka in HCMC, this co-operation has been very effective and made significant contributions to the development of HCMC. Mr. Le Hoang Quan said that the good relationship between the two localities is also presented by organizing policy dialogues at mayor level. This created many co-operation opportunities between both side in the last 10 years.

Mr. Le Hoang Quan expressed his belief that the working trip of a delegation of Osaka city to HCMC will open new co-operation opportunities between both localities and contribute to enhancement Vietnam-Japan relationship.
