On September 28, on the occasion of the International Day of Elderly People (October 1st), a delegation of HCMC led by Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong made a visit and gave gift to Mrs. Huynh Thi Truong, born in 1926, in Ward 6, District 4 and Mr. Ha Gia Cuong (Chinese Vietnamese), born in 1931 in Ward 5, District 10.
On a visit, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong gave gifts to the elderly. Mr. Phong also awarded them longevity certificates and wished them good health and longevity.
On the same day, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Van Khoa visited and gave gift to Mrs. Le Thi Thuong, born in 1928, in Tan Thoi 3 Ward, Tan Hiep Commune, Hoc Mon District and Mrs. Luong Thi Hue, born in 1946, in Tan Dinh Ward, Tan Thong Hoi Commune, Cu Chi District.
At the visit, he also requested local authorities to continuously take care of and support the elderly, especially those with single-parent families and difficult circumstances.
