On November 15, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong paid a visit to family of Teacher Le Quang Vinh, former Director of HCMC Department of Education and Training, Prof. PhD. Nguyen Tan Lap, former Headmaster of HCMC University of Economics on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers’ Day (November 20).

At the meeting with Teacher Le Quang Vinh and Prof. PhD Nguyen Tan Lap, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong said, the city is always paying a special attention to development of education and training such as giving priority to allocation of land to build schools, promoting socialization in education and training, etc. with a target of training a high quality human resource for Vietnam in general and HCMC in particular.

Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong added that the city is working out the scheme of education and training development and looking forward to receiving ideas and suggestions from teachers or those who wish to devote their efforts or to contribute to the construction of HCMC a modern-civilized city.
