Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong sends Tet wishes to religious dignitaries

On January 24, a delegation led by Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong paid Tet visits to religious dignitaries and intellectuals on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2017.

In a visit to monk Thich Hien Tu, Deputy Secretary of Executive Council and Chief monk of Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Mr. Phong sent his best wishes to monk Thich Hien Tu, expressed his hope that Monk Thich Hien Tu continues making contributions to the national great solidarity, encouraging nuns, monks to make contributions to the process of construction, innovation and development of HCMC and the nation.

In a visit to Pro. Ph.D. Chu Pham Ngoc Son, deputy chairman of Union of Science and Technology Associations of HCMC, Mr. Phong said the city is going to launch the management board of food safety after Tet holiday 2017. He thanked Pro. Chu Pham Ngoc Son for his contributions to city in the past time. Mr. Phong also expressed his hope to continuously receive practical contributions of Mr. Chu Pham Ngoc Son, especially in field of education and training to train high quality human resource for food safety sector.

In a visit to Ph.D. Ho Huu Nhat, a researcher of social science and humanity, member of Vietnam Fatherland Front – HCMC, Mr. Phong expressed his hoped that Ph.D. Ho Huu Nhat will continue contributing his ideas to the city in fields of anti-flooding, environmental pollution, etc.

In a visit to Labor Hero, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong, former director of Tu Du Hospital, Mr. Phong highly appreciated contributions of Dr. Phung to the health sector in the past time. He wished Dr. Phuong good health and expressed his hope to continuously receive contributing ideas of Dr. Phuong to HCMC’s health sector in particular and the whole country in general.
