At the reception, Mr. Phong said Vietnam and Slovakia have established cooperation relations for a long time. Slovalia has now 02 investment projects in HCMC, including 01 in 31 Le Duan Street which is a symbol of both countries. Two way trade between HCMC and Slovakia in 2017 reached US$ 20 million.

Mr. Phong expressed his hope to continue promoting cooperation relations between HCMC with Slovakia in fieds of textile & garment, footwear, agriculutre, seafood, processed products, post-graduate training, etc.

For his part, Mr. Juraj Droba said Slovakia will play as a gateway for Vietnamese products to penetrate into European markets, saying Vietnam has big tourism potentials, he, after this visit, will introduce Vietnam’s attractive tourist sites to Slovakian peoples as well as to encourage Slovakian investors to seek investment opporunities in tourism sector of Vietnam in general and of HCMC in particular.
