On May 29, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong received new Chairman of Japanese Business Association HCMC (JBAH) Kadowaki Keiichi on a courtesy visit to HCMC.
At the reception, Mr. Phong highly appreciated Japanese businesses’ contributions to the city’s development. Japan now ranks 6 out of 87 countries and territories investing in HCMC with 1, 013 projects. Mr. Phong said the city has received many feedbacks from Japanese enterprises through JBAH related to difficulties in the process of doing business in the city, saying HCMC always highly valued the shared information of JBAH, this helps improve the investment environment of the city.
Mr. Phong expressed his hope that as a new President of JBAH, Mr. Kadowaki Keiichi will further promote Japan-HCMC cooperation relation, including between both sides’ businesses.
For his part, Mr. Kadowaki Keiichi expressed his commitment that JBAH will try its best to connect Japanese businesses with those of HCMC to promote the development of supporting industry in the city.
