At the reception, Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong said the visit is very significant in the context of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries. He stressed that the visit will create motivation for both countries to further promote friendship and cooperation relations.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his hope that there will be more and more Irish investors coming to HCMC to seek investment opportunities in fields of agriculture, food processing, milk based products, informatics, communications, etc. Mr. Phong also expressed his hope that Ireland would create favorable conditions for Vietnamese products including apparel, footwear, agricultural and food products, etc. to be imported into Irish market.  He affirmed that HCMC always welcomes leaders, enterprises and people of Ireland to the city through clear and open policies.
