At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong highly valued the well-developed cooperation relation between Vietnam and Greece. Beside achieved results, Mr. Phong added both sides’ relation is still not matched with available potential.

Emphasizing on development orientation of HCMC, Mr. Phong said the city is striving to be a big economic-financial-commercial-scientific-technology center in Southeast Asia region. To achieve this, the city has been strengthening multi-faceted development, of which call for foreign investors including Greek investors.

Mr. Phong expressed his hope to strengthen investment cooperation with Greece in fields of shipping, tourism, food processing, etc. He expressed his belief that Mr. Nicolaos D.Kanellos will play the role of linking bridge to promote further cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and Greece.

Mr. Nicolaos D.Kanellos highly valued positive development of HCMC affirmed that Greece is ready to cooperate and support the city in term of tourism development strategy, shipbuilding, human resource. He said that Greece is ready to send experts to support Vietnam.

Mr. Nicolaos D.Kanellos also expressed his hope that HCMC’s authority will create favorable conditions for Greek investors to seek business opportunities in the city.
