On November 30, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong received Mr. Bertrand Lortholary, new French Ambassador to Vietnam in a courtesy visit to Ho Chi Minh City.
At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong welcomed and congratulated Mr. Bertrand Lortholary as a new French Ambassador to Vietnam, saying Vietnam-France Friendship & Cooperation Relations in general and between HCMC and localities of France in particular have achieved positive results in fields of politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, investment, culture, etc. especially after both countries upgraded their relations to strategic partnership since September 2013.
Mr. Phong affirmed that the city always create favorable conditions for French businesses to invest in the city.
For his part, Mr. Bertrand Lortholary stressed that in his tenure in Vietnam, he will further promote multidisciplinary cooperation relation between Vietnam and France, especially with HCMC.
