At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong highly value the visit of Lord Price, saying the visit marks an important milestone of HCMC and UK partnership.

In his brief introduction of HCMC’s development orientation, Mr. Phong said the city is implementing many policies, programs to make HCMC a big economic-financial-commercial-scientific-technology center of the Southeast Asian region. In order to achieve this, the city is making use of every internal and external source to move forward to sustainable-modern-civilized development, especially to put a focus on calling for investment cooperation as well as experience sharing with foreign investors, including UK investors.

“HCMC’s authority commits to accompany and create favorable conditions for UK investors to invest in HCMC”, Mr. Phong affirmed.

Lord Price thanked leaders of HCMC for their warm welcome and expressed his impression at growth rate of the city as well as development of large projects in the city.

Lord Price affirmed that the UK is very interested in contributing to the implementation of HCMC’s targets, saying that UK is willing to support, cooperate with HCMC in fields that the city is calling for investment.
