In the afternoon of January 24, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, leaders of departments and agencies had a meeting with leaders of localities from Laos including Vientaine, Atapu, Savankhet, Kham Muon on their visit to the city to attend the “Laos Goods Week in HCMC”
Mr. Phong said the year 2017 was a significnat year for Vietnam and Laos when both countries had organized many practical activities celebrating the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relaitons. 2018 will be another year for both sides to continue organizing many activities to strenthen cooperation relations.
He said that it is a commitment of HCMC to carry out cooperation deals with localities of Laos, the city will try its best to strengthen friendship cooperation relations with localities of Laos.
For his part, Mr. Anuphap Tunalom, Deputy Secretary, Chairman of People’s Council cum President of Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association in Vientiane capital highly appreciated the “Laos Goods Week in HCMC”. He said this was an important opportunity to bring products of Laos to HCMC and to partly strengthen trade exchage actitives between both localities.
Mr. Anuphap Tunalom expressed his hope that both countries will support each other, promote close cooperation in the process of national construction and development, bring prosperity to people of both countries.
