At the reception, Chairman Phong said the HCMC is one of the most attractive localities which draws special attention from Japanese investors. Some of the city’s strengths include political stability, economic-financial-commercial center of Vietnam, completely planned infrastructure, abundant labor force, modern management system, etc. He affirmed that the city hopes to attract more Japanese companies to invest and to do business in HCMC to make use of the city’s advantages, connecting modern technology, good business strategies of Japan for mutual benefits.

For his part, Mr. Yasukazu Irino thanked HCMC’s leaders and said Japan has a total of 1, 116 investment projects in HCMC worth nearly US$ 4 billion, ranked 6th out of 93 countries and territories investing in HCMC. In the past time, the city has created favorable conditions for Japanese companies to study the marketplace, to carry out trade promotion and investment licensing, etc. He suggested that the city continues to support and create favorable conditions for Japanese companies in the process of pursuing long term investment and busienss plans in HCMC, especially for small and medium size companies.
