On November 29, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong bid farewell to Japanese Consul General in HCMC Nakajima Satoshi at a reception in the city.
At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong highly appreciated efforts and contributions of Mr. Nakajima Satoshi to socio-economic development of the city, saying these contributions have further tightened the comprehensive cooperation, friendship relations and understanding between both countries.
Emphasizing on the both countries’ relations, Mr. Phong said Vietnam –Japan cooperation relation is on the right track. In this context, HCMC-Japan relation has been positively developing. Japan is now one of the most important partners of HCMC in fields of economy, trade, investment, ODA, culture, education, tourism, etc.
Mr. Phong expressed his belief that Mr. Nakajima Satoshi will continue acting as a linking bridge for Japanese investors and friends to come and invest in Vietnam, including HCMC.
For his part, Mr. Nakajima Satoshi thanked the city’s authorities for supporting him to accomplish his missions in the city. He said that he has had good memories of Vietnam after 2 years of working in HCMC. He added he has witnessed continuous development of the city with many projects (including Japanese projects) putting into operation
