On December 9, Australian Consul General in HCMC John McAnulty bid farewell to leaders of HCMC on the occasion of his term ending.
At the meeting, Mr. John McAnulty expressed his gratitude to leaders of HCMC for their enthusiastic support for him to complete his tasks in HCMC and to promote the friendship and comprehensive co-operation relations between Vietnam and Australia. He believed that the relations between both countries will be further deepened and strengthened in the coming time.
Mr. John McAnulty said Australian companies are now paying a very special interest in HCMC. He hoped the authorities of HCMC will continue supporting and creating favorable conditions for Australian investors to seek co-operation and investment opportunities in HCMC.
On behalf of leaders of HCMC, Mr. Le Hoang Quan highly valued the efforts and positive contributions of Mr. John McAnulty in promoting the Vietnam-Australia friendship and co-operation relations in fields of economy, culture, tourism and education, etc., saying that Mr. John McAnulty, in his new position, will continue promoting the friendship & co-operation relations between both countries, especially between HCMC and localities of Australia.
On this occasion, Mr. Le Hoang Quan granted Ho Chi Minh Badge to Mr. John McAnulty in recognition of his great contributions to the process of strengthening the comprehensive co-operation relations between Vietnam and Australia in general and between HCMC with localities of Australia in particular.
