At the meeting, Mr. Le Hoang Quan welcomed the visit of the delegation to HCMC, expressing that the visit is very significant because it came when Vietnam and Russia celebrated 65 years of diplomatic relation.

Mr. Quan said Vietnam-Russia relation is ceaselessly developed, strengthened

through high-profile visits of leaders of both countries, Vietnam and Russia has carried out many specific co-operation programs in many fields, these contributed to the reinforcement of deep relationship between both countries

In the first 9 months of 2015, HCMC and Moscow have signed co-operation deal in promotion of tourism and trade, over 60,000 Russian visitors coming to HCMC. In the upcoming November, 40 units of HCMC will participate into “Vietnamese high quality goods Exhibition in Moscow”. This is a unique opportunity for both countries’ enterprises to discuss co-operation, a chance for Vietnamese enterprises to expand their investment in Russia – a gateway for Asia-Europe Economic Alliance. Mr. Quan added that HCMC and Moscow can promote co-operation in fields of science, education, culture, art, etc.

Mr. Vorobiev A.Iu thanked leaders of HCMC for its esteemed welcome, saying that the purpose of the visit is not only to strengthen diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Russia but also to seek co-operation opportunities at industrial parks and export processing zones of HCMC. He also expressed his hope that HCMC’s authority will support the work of the delegation.
