In the morning of January 31, at the Reunification Conference Hall, Central Committee of the Communitst Party of Vietnam Party, National Assembly, President and Government officies, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a national-level celebration of 50 years of Mau Than General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1968
In a speech, Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan reviewed heroic moments of the General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1968, saying it is a testament of firm stuff and Vietnam military art. This has led to a victory of Vietnam against enemy much more times stronger, marking a new development of Vietnam military theory and art in the Ho Chi Minh era.
“We, forever, repsect and acknowledge great contributions and efforts of officials, soldiers, comrades, etc. who devoted their lives to the nation, those who fought and bavely sacrificed during the General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1968 for peace, independence, freedom and bring us a happy life today”, stressed Mr. Nhan.
