On November 18, at Saigon Opera House, a concert of Belgian Jazz was organized with participation of international well-known Jazz Pianist Jef Neve. It was a part of event series of the Belgian Week in Vietnam organized by Belgian Embassy from November 12-18 on the occasion of Belgian King’s Day (November 15)
On behalf of HCMC’s leaders, Mr. Huynh Cach Mang, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee, gave a welcome speech at the event. Mr. Mang affirmed that HCMC-Belgium cooperation relation has been well-developed in many fields. In the first 10 months of 2016, bilateral two-way trade value reached US$ 500 million. Belgium has now 26 investors doing business in HCMC in fields of sea port, education and training. Belgium is also one of the big ODA providers to HCMC. Mr. Mang affirmed that the city always welcome Belgium businesses and tourists to HCMC. He expressed his belief that the relation between HCMC and Belgium will be further deepened and brought to a new height in the coming time, he added that both sides will coordinate to organize many cultural exchange activities to bring both sides’ people closer.
