In the evening of January 29, Consulate General of India in HCMC celebrated the 69th Independence Day of India (January 26-195o-January 26 2018) – the day of making India constitution which opened way for independence from UK empire. Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang attended and gave speech at the celebration ceremony.
In his speech, Mr. Mang sent his congratulations to people of India, saying Vietnam-Inda traditonal relation has been deepened with fruiful results, this relation has been upgraded to comprehensive strategic partnership in many fields such as politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, national defense, security, energy, culture, education, science, technology, etc.
In this context, the cooperation between HCMC and India has been growing. Till 2017, India has 84 investment projects in HCMC worth US$ 60 million, two way trade between India and HCMC reaches over US$ 1 billon, up 10% compared to 2016. Mr. Mang expressed his belief that HCMC and India will continue bringing their relation to a new height, contributing to the well-developed & sustainable comprensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India.
