Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association has now 0 chapters with 500 members. The association has been actively participating into activities to strengthen friendship and understanding between people of Vietnam and Germany.

Every year, Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association in HCMC organizes events to celebrate the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany, organizing dialogues, information exchanges between enterprises of both countries to seek cooperation opportunities in fields of trade, health, education, culture, etc. Specifically, the association has co-organized scientific seminar on Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership, history of Southern resistance, inspection on efficiency of German aid projects to Vietnam like tropical forest restoration in Cu Chi, improvement of management capacity on projects of hunger eradiation and poverty reduction. The association has gathered some German enterprises manufacturing traditional products to introduce to people of HCMC, many of its members participates into translation activities, book writing, cultural exhibitions, etc.

Vice Consul General of Germany in HCMC Daniela Scheetz emphasized that Vietnam and German cooperation relations have been strengthened in fields of politics, economy, culture, people to people, etc. Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association in HCMC have done a good job in tightening the close friendship relations between people of both countries.
