On behalf of HCMC, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong, President of Vietnam-US Friendship Association in HCMC sent her congratulations to people of USA on the special event, emphasizing the Vietnam and USA cooperation relations have been strongly developed in many fields.

For years, Vietnam-US Friendship Association has organized many activities to promote values of USA including music programs, charity activities, scholarships to disadvantaged children, etc.

As its role, Vietnam-US Friendship Association will continue making positive contributions to the well-established and dynamic cooperation relations between Vietnam and USA.

On this occasion, Vietnam-US Friendship Association has awarded 89 scholarships worth VND 110 million to students with difficult situations in HCMC.

HCMC has made great contributions to the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and USA through effective cooperation activities. In term of trade, USA remains as the largest export market and the 4th largest import market of HCMC. In addition, USA ranks 10th out of foreign countries investing in HCMC with 399 project worth US$ 1.2 billion.
