On March 25, leaders of HCMC Party Committee, People’s Committee, Vietnam Father-land Front Committee of HCMC congratulated archbishop of HCMC Archdiocese, The Committee for solidarity of HCMC and Southern Evangelical Church of Vietnam on the occasion of Easter holiday 2016.
In a visit to archbishop of HCMC Archdiocese, Mr. Thang highly valued effective contributions of Catholic community in the past years, saying that Catholic Community has made its effort to contribute to the development, stability of society.
Leaders of HCMC always hopes and encourages the spirit for community, joining hands in political and social activities of the city, participating into patriotic emulation movements, con-tributing to the construction of HCMC a modern-civilized-sentimental city with better living quality. Leaders of HCMC wished Catholic dignitaries, followers and Catholic community a happy, peaceful Easter holiday.
Chairman of Episcopal Council of the Catholic Church of Vietnam, Archbishop of HCMC Archdiocese Bui Van Doc thanked leaders of HCMC for its respect and special attention in the past years, saying that HCMC always creates the best conditions for Catholic Community to fulfill its duty as sons of the God and to live a good life for the social development.
Facing the requirements of development and integration, Catholic Community in Vietnam in general and in HCMC in particular wishes to contribute more to the implementation of devel-opment targets of HCMC, joining hands with local authorities to effectively implement new problems, especially environment protection, climate change and traffic safety.
