At the meeting, Mr. Hua Ngoc Thuan expressed his delight at receiving the delegation of Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia, the visit came as Cambodia celebrated its 62nd National Day (November 9, 1953 – November 9, 2015). On behalf of leaders and people of HCMC, Mr. Thuan congratulated Cambodia on its economic-diplomatic-social achievements. Mr. Thuan stressed that Cambodian Cultural Week in Vietnam is an occasion for Vietnamese people to study about cultural and fine art traditions of Cambodia. It is also a foundation for Vietnam and Cambodia to closely tighten friendship relation between people of both countries.

In her part, Ms. Menh Kossony thanked leaders of HCMC for the warm welcome, saying that she is very happy to see a fast growth of HCMC. She alsow expressed her hope that the fine arts of Cambodia will be widedly introduced to people of Vietnam through Cambodian Cultural Week in Vietnam, it will help strengthen mutual understanding of cultural traditions.
