HCMC People’s Committee has just assigned Department of Natural Reources and Environment the job of coordinating with other relative departments and agencies to strengthen the propaganga program of reducing the use o plastic bags.
Accordingly, Departments of Education and Training, Natural Resources and Environment are required to propagandize contents of environmental protection caused by use of indecomposal plastic bags, put these contents into education and communication activities at schools in the city.
At the same time, People’s Committees of districts should do a survey on scrap purchasing warehouses, recovering and procesing plastic bags at their localities, assessing the recovery technology of plastic bags, taking control of pollution leve of these warehouses to put in place drastical monitoring meassures.
