On April 10, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, a high-profile delegation of HCMC led by Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Dinh La Thang made a courtesy visit to Governor of Nagano Shuichi Abe. Both sides have signed an MOU on production cooperation in agriculture, tourism, industrial production and human resource.
At the reception, Mr. Shuichi Abe said after his working visit to Vietnam in 2016, including a meeting with HCMC’s leaders, many businesses of Nagano prefecture have shown their interest in cooperation with HCMC in fields of manufacturing industries, hi-tech agriculture.
According Governor Shuichi Abe, these fields are of Nagano’s strengths including other fields of electronics and precision mechanical engineering. Nagano has big corporations with famous brands in the region and the world.
In a discussion with Mr. Shuichi Abe, Secretary Thang said he felt peace and beauty of Nagano prefecture, saying Nagano has strengths in agricultural products in temperate zone, electronics, IT, precision mechanical engineering, agriculture, tourism. Vietnam, including HCMC, has huge potential in tropical agriculture which is in need of developing sectors of Nagano’s strength.
At the meeting, Mr. Shuichi Abe and Permanent Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem signed a MOU on cooperation program of industrial production, tourism, agriculture and human resource.
