(HCM CityWeb)- On September 24, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem received CFO of AuchanSuper (France) Philippe Delalande in a courtesy visit to HCMC.
At the meeting, Mr. Philippe Delalande highly appreciated the Vietnam retail market, saying that this is a potential market that AuchanSuper would like to expand its investment in the future.
Mr. Philippe Delalande said AuchanSuper has now opened its first supermarket in HCMC, two other supermarkets are expected to be launched end of this year to provide a variety of goods for consumers.AuchanSuper is expecting to invest from Euro 35-40 million in Vietnam in 2015-2016.
Mr. Le Thanh Liem said the retail turnover of HCMC accounts for 30% of that of the whole country, this is a favorable condition for investors. Mr. Liem added with huge experience in international markets, AuchanSuper will be successful in Vietnam. He committed that HCMC will create favorable conditions for foreign investors to study and seek co-operation and investment opportunities in HCMC including AuchanSuper.
Simply Mart - the first supermarket of AuchanSuper – is located at Tran Binh Trong St, Ward 4, District 5, HCMC with an area of 300 sqm. AuchanSuper is now investing in 15 countries, AuchanSuper is now focusing on developing the model of Simply mart system in Vietnam.
