On September 20, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen received General Director of Asseco Group (Slovakia) Jaroslav Gasinec. Both sides discussed about cooperation opportunity to turn HCMC into a smart city.

In his brief introduction of Asseco Group, Mr. Jaroslav Gasinec said Asseco Group specializes in providing advanced IT solutions, the Group is promoting investment in Asia and Vietnam is the first destination of Asseco Group.

Mr. Jaroslav Gasinec revealed that the visit aims to share its experience with HCMC about building smart city including fields of traffic, health, education, energy, civil management, disaster forecast, etc. He expressed his hope that authority of HCMC creates favorable conditions for the Group to get involved in the project of turning HCMC into a smart city.

Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen affirmed that fields that Asseco Group wishes to invest in HCMC are very suitable with demand and conditions of the city. He added that Asseco Group needs to design special IT solutions suitable with conditions of HCMC.

Mr. Tuyen suggested that Asseco Group keeps in touch with HCMC Department of Information and Communications and relevant agencies to study investment procedures.
