With a theme of “ASEAN+ 3 Youth Entrepreneurs towards sustainable development”, the forum emphasizes the importance of regional sustainable economic development; highlight the important role of youth entrepreneurs in establishing ASEAN Economic Community in particular and contributing to the establishment of a sustainable ASEAN community in general.

The forum attracts participation of 65 young entrepreneurs and leaders, officials in charge of youth movements and typical youths from 10 countries of ASEAN, Japan, Korea and China.

 
The opening ceremony on December 12 is expected to attract participation of leaders of ministries, departments; representative of Central Committee of HCMC Communist Union, Vietnam Youth Federation, National Committee on Youth of Vietnam; representatives of HCMC; representatives of consulate generals of ASEAN + 3 in HCMC.

 
The opening ceremony is followed by presentations of local and regional famous speakers on ASEAN Economic Community: opportunities & challenges; young enterprises towards sustainable ASEAN Economic Community; role of youth in promoting business initiatives and development of sustainable ASEAN community.

 
At the forum, 13 typically youth entrepreneurs who made positive contributions to sustainable development nominated by organs in charge of youth activities of 10 member countries of ASEAN and 3 partners including Korea, Japan and China will be awarded “ASEAN+3 Young Entrepreneurs towards sustainable development”.

 
Besides, delegates will call on leaders of HCMC, visit typical models of enterprises at Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) in Binh Duong province. They will discuss and share experience with Vietnamese young entrepreneurs, especially those of HCMC and Binh Duong province or students from faculties of economy, trade, etc. Delegates are expected to visit historical-cultural monuments, famous landscapes of HCMC and Binh Duong.

 
The forum is a part of a series of activities of Vietnamese Youth in the context of establishment of ASEAN Economic Community in December 31 2015. It creates opportunities for young entrepreneurs of ASEAN+3 to meet, exchange and build trust to promote trade and investment co-operation in the region; to share business models towards sustainable development; to raise awareness of youth on ASEAN community and to introduce socio-economic achievements of Vietnam to international friends.
