A total VND 210,000 billion disbursed for businesses

In his brief report of banking activities in the first six months of 2018, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Director of Credit Department (The State’s Bank of Vietnam -SBV) said SBV’s branches have coordinated with local authorities to organize more athn 300 meetings and dialogues between bank and businesses.



Through these programs, banks have disbursed a total amount of VND 210,000 billion for more than 20,000 enterprises, restructuing the debt payment period, reducing loan interest rate for nearly 1,900 enterprises and 600 customers, removing difficulties for borrowers.


According to Mr. Hung, credit loans in the first months of 2018 focus on business and production activities as a driving force for economic growth.


Mentioning about directions and solutions for credit management till end of 2018, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong, Deputy Govenor of SBV said in the context of inflation rate being kept under control, stable market, favorable macro-economic situation, these are favorable for credit organizations to reduce loan interest rates on the basis of ensuring safe, healthy finance sources and reducing bad debt. SBV will continue monitoring credit policies in the direction of keeping credit scale under control in a safe, effective and favorable manner, focusing on prioritized sectors under the government’s guidance to successfully achieve the target of economic growth as planned and to keep inflation rate under control.
