A petition has been presented to the Prime Minister by HCMC People’s Committee seeking allowance to co-host the World Culture Expo 2017 with Gyeongsangbuk-do (Korea).

 
The World Culture Expo is a large-scaled cultural event with diversified range of activities. The Expo aims to introduce culture of Korea and other countries in fields of cuisine, music, fashion, literature plus trade and investment promotion, etc. The world culture expo is a biennial event chaired by Gyeongsangbuk-do; the event has come to the 8th edition, of which 6 times were organized in Korea and other 2 abroad.

The World Culture Expo 2017 is expected to be organized in November 2017, before or after APEC 2017 and lasts for 22 days.

According to HCMC People’s Committee, the co-host of The world culture expo 2017 with Gyeongsangbuk-do (Korea) will help promote culture, country and image of Vietnam in general and of HCMC in particular to international friends, attract more tourists from Korea and other countries to HCMC.
