On December 22, HCMC Party-People’s Council – People’s Committees – Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee HCMC held a get-together with retired military officials on the occasion of 72nd founding anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army.

“HCMC’s leaders are forever grateful for dedications, sacrifice and great contributions of heroic martyrs, people’s armed force heroes, generals, senior officials of Vietnam People’s Army in general and 6 officials awarded Military Medal today, we always respect and deeply remember your contributions to the armed force of Saigon-Cho Lon-Gia Dinh-TPHCM through periods and to the solid national security of the city”, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong said.

Mr. Phong expressed his belief that with heroic tradition, solidarity, dynamism and creativity, armed force and people of the city will overcome difficulties and challenges to complete its economic-social-cultural-national defense missions, contributing to the construction of HCMC into a sentimental-modern-civilized city with better living quality, promoting the role of driving force in the process of modernization and industrialization of the country, quickly turning HCMC into a large economic-financial-commercial-scientific-technological center of Southeast Asia.
