With 120 booths from 80 Vietnamese enterprises, Ho Chi Minh City Expo 2017 was organized at Tatmadaw Hall, Yangon, Myanmar, taking place from April 6-9 2017. This is the 6th version of HCMC Expo organized by Investment and Trade Promotion of HCMC (ITPC) in Myanmar.
Vietnamese exhibitors of HCMC Expo 2017 in Myanmar operate mainly in fields of food processing, agricultural products, household goods, electronics, textile and garments, chemical-cosmetics, interior decoration, ceramics, handicrafts and fine arts, agricultural material, construction material, industrial machinery and equipment, etc. The HCMC Expo 2017 in Myanmar aims to seek partners to establish distribution channels of Vietnamese products in Myanmar.
At HCMC Expo 2017, the common house has displayed images of Vietnam – Myanmar solidarity, socio-economic-political-cultural achievements of Vietnam in general and of HCMC in particular. Besides, ITPC organized meetings, trade connectivity programs for Vietnamese-Burmese businesses, creating opportunities for Burmese businesses to study Vietnamese products.
At HCMC Expo 2017, visitors could enjoy Vietnamese dishes, traditional folk art performances, culture, country and people of Vietnam at the tourism booth.
In the framework of the Expo, ITPC organized a seminar themed “Sharing information and business-investment experience in Myanmar”. The seminar was an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to establish contacts with Vietnamese Commercial Office in Myanmar, directly exchanging experience from Vietnamese businesses investing in Myanmar like Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group, VNam PEC, BIDV, etc.
At HCMC Expo 2017, ITPC also organized a market survey tour for Vietnamese businesses at a construction material super market, food-fruit and agro-commodity wholesale market in Bago, etc.
