4th HCMC Ao Dai Festival opens in HCMC - 4th HCMC Ao Dai Festival opens in HCMC - Website Ho Chi Minh City
On the evening of March 3, 4th Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) Festival themed “Charming Ao Dai” hosted by HCMC Department of Tourism and HCMC Women’s Union officially kicked off in Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, District 1. The festival attracted thousands of people and foreign visitors.
The opening ceremony saw a series of events under Ao Dai Festival program chain such as Photo Marathon (took place on March 4), Ao Dai drawing contest for young children at the General Sciences Library of HCMC, program of honoring designers and tailors, etc.
HCMC Ao Dai Festival 2017 took place to March 17. The festival is an annual event of the city starting from 2014. It aims to preserve and promote unique cultural characteristics of Vietnamese Ao Dai, nurturing the love of Vietnamese traditional Ao Dai of local people.
