Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong, Headmaster of UEH said after 40 years of establishment, innovation and development, UEH has been making efforts in joining the flow of human knowledge with a focus on excellently completing its tasks of training a high quality human resource for economic development.

Till now, UEH has 9 professors, 52 Associate Professors, 180 PhDs and 378 Masters. The university has trained over 217,000 Bachelors of Economics, 10,000 Masters and 350 PhDs.

In the period of 2016-2021, UEH aims to become a regional university, providing training courses in fields of research, economic and scientific consultancy, commerce, management, law, foreign language and technology in Vietnam, moving forward to become a university of the Southeast Asia and Asia.

At the ceremony President Tran Dai Quang highly valued the role of UEH as a leading unit of economics schools in the South and was selected by prestigious international education and training organizations as the best business school in Vietnam in 5 consecutive years (2011-2015) and one of 1000 leading business schools in the world.

Mr. Tran Dai Quang suggested that UEH continues to make efforts to become a high quality training center in fields of economics, business management, to effectively carry out the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on education and training. He requested Ministries, Departments and local authority to invest in infrastructure development for UEH to firmly become a regional university and of the world.
