On April 14, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Manh Ha chaired a conference on completion of divestment for 14 enterprises under management of the city government.
Mr. Huynh Trung Lam, Deputy Head of HCMC Steering Committee for Reform and Development said according to the plan of approved restructuring project in the period of 2013-2015, enterprises have to divest about VND865 billion in Quarter 1 of 2015, VND 1,162 billion in Quarter 2, VND 1,136 billion in Quarter 3 and VND351 billion in Quarter 4.
In the first quarter of 2015, enterprises divested VND 307 billion, equivalent to 38% of the plan in quarter 1 and 8, 5% of the whole year plan. From now to year end, over VND 3,000 billion needs to be divested.
Mr. Le Manh Ha said that the approved restructuring project in the period of 2013-2015 has implemented 3 main contents including equitization, divestment and management efficiency improvement.
Accordingly, the progress of equitization is going on smoothly while divestment is progressing slowly mainly in 2015. So the job must be done promptly in the second and third quarters of this year.
Mr. Ha requested enterprises committed to divestment must do their jobs drastically and work out solutions to speed up the progress of divestment.
