Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Khoa praised Hoc Mon District’s efforts in providing clean water to 100% of households, saying this is a very significant work to help local people access to clean water replacing drilled well water which is not met with water quality standards.
Mr. Khoa requested Hoc Mon District to cooperate with water supply units in the district to ensure quality of clean water for local citizens in 2017 and gradually shifting supply of water through sinks and water meters to the form of supplying water through water pipe network in 2017. Besides, Hoc Mon needs to strengthen propaganda activities to raise awareness of local citizens on using tap water, avoiding the fact that local people have water meters installed but refuse to use tap water.
